The Lancet

Over the past 180 years, The Lancet has established itself as an independent and authoritative voice in global medicine. Founded by English surgeon Thomas Wakley in 1823, the journal originally aimed to entertain, instruct and inform as a reformist medical publication known for its campaigns. It continues to do this today, covering medical news, original research, and reviews on all aspects of clinical medicine and public health. It is published weekly both in print and on-line.
