New plant biology editor joins BIOEDIT

It is with great excitement that we announce the appointment of Dr. Laura Zonia to the BIOEDIT editing team this week.

 

Dr. Zonia is an experienced editor in the life sciences, having been published as first author in a number of top journals, as well as serving as peer reviewer for both journals and national granting agencies in five countries. She received her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri in 1992 after her thesis work explored nitrogen metabolism in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, and included physiological, biochemical, and molecular biological studies.

 

After completing her PhD studies, Laura has fulfilled a number of roles, including work at the Institute of Experimental Botany (Prague, Czech Republic), the National Science Foundation (USA) and the University of Amsterdam.

 

Dr. Zonia is a very welcome addition to our plant science editing team, although she will also edit papers in cell biology, biochemistry, signal transduction and biophysics. Her experience is certain to become an asset to BIOEDIT and our clients.
