Nicola Edwards

Nicola Edwards read English Literature at Queen Mary College, the University of London, where she focused her studies on post-1900s literature and critical theory. After completing her dissertation on the critical theory and poetic imaginings of post-modern French feminism, she gained a First Class degree with Honours. These studies taught her the importance of style and accuracy in well-composed writing, as well as familiarising her with the skills of proofreading and editing.

Throughout university, Nicola worked with many young students with the aim of improving their academic composition. This involved editing and proofreading the work of others, often on unfamiliar topics, and providing advice on how to improve the structure of the argument and clarity of the expression. Currently, Nicola is completing an Open University module, 'Exploring Science', to provide her with more knowledge of basic science to complement her linguistic abilities.
