Terms & Conditions

The client must accept the quote sent by email before work can begin. Unless agreed upon otherwise, payment must be made within 30 days after downloading the edited manuscript. Late Payments are subject to a late fee of 10%.

Delays & Cancellation

  1. Work ordered though BIOEDIT REGULAR, BIOEDIT EXPRESS and BIOEDIT SUPER EXPRESS will be returned to the client’s website account within no later than 7 days, 4 days, and 48 hours, respectively, of receipt of the work. The date of inception will be considered to be the date of the automatically generated email sent to the client from the website upon uploading of the work.
  2. Whilst BIOEDIT will always try to deliver the work within these deadlines, it cannot be held responsible for any cancellation or delay caused either by the client's actions or Force Majeure - 'Acts of God' (such as: fire, flood, or any other natural disaster, civil disturbance, industrial action or any other situation beyond our control, such as ill health).
    In such an event BIOEDIT will notify the client of the circumstances, which shall entitle both the client and BIOEDIT to withdraw from the contract for the work. The client shall pay BIOEDIT for any work completed and BIOEDIT will do its best to assist the client in placing the work elsewhere or take some other remedial action.
  3. If for any other reason the work is delivered beyond the deadline, BIOEDIT promises to refund 10% of the cost for each day the delivery date exceeds the deadline.
  4. If the client cancels the work after it has been commissioned they will be obliged to pay for all the work completed up to that date on a pro-rata basis. If the client cancels less than 24 hours before the time when the translation is due then they will be liable to pay the fee in full.

Confidentiality

BIOEDIT will treat all work with complete confidentiality. BIOEDIT will ensure that the need for confidentiality is made known to the editors.

VAT

All our invoices are inclusive of VAT. You will not be charged VAT if you supply us with a registered EC VAT number, or if you are based outside of the European community. Please furnish us with your VAT number when you upload your manuscript.
