Dr Cathy Thaler - Cell/Molecular/Developmental Biology

Dr Cathy Thaler earned her B.Sc. in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and her Ph.D. in Biology, with emphasis in cell biology, from the University of California, Riverside. Her training incorporates a broad background in cell, molecular, and developmental biology, and her research interests have focused on regulation of intracellular motility and signal transduction. She has used several model systems to investigate cell signaling. Her recent work has investigated signal transduction during fertilization and activation of development in mouse, mollusc and sea urchin.
