Dr Kate Fox - Molecular Biology/Microbiology/Genomics
Dr. Kate Fox completed a bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Leicester and obtained her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Oxford while working on LPS biosynthetic genes in Haemophilus influenzae. She then moved to Australia where she spent five years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Queensland working on DNA methyltransferases involved in gene regulation in bacterial pathogens. She has also worked on the design and development of live, attenuated vaccines for veterinary pathogens and genomics. With broad experience in a wide range of life science disciplines and with many publications as first author in high-ranking journals, Kate has extensive first-hand experience in dealing with journals and their specific requirements. She is now engaged as a full-time English editor/proofreader, reading and editing manuscripts on a daily basis.
